Wishlist: Grammy Edition

I've never seen the Grammys. In fact I don't really want to. It's one of those things that's never really seemed like something I should do. That and I can't really handle commercials. Despite this, I always seem to drift into the who wore what craze and try to see what I like and what I don't like. A lot of blogger's I love have commented on the outfits at the grammy's, and I decided why not jump in and look at the outfits myself. During this search I saw a lot of stunning celebrities like Katy Perry, and Rihanna, but one thing stood out to me the most and that is this particular garment donned by Nicki Minaj.

Nicki took a lot of flack for this Versace cloak, and I can say it's reasonable as the theme was in poor taste, but I really did love the style of the hood.

The hood appears to be a kind of cloak that fastens at the neck and the hood seems to have a vast amount of extra fabric at the front that's causing the billowing effect. I would love to do something similar as an add on to a military style jacket with sharp shoulders, and a close fit. I think the contrast of the hard, tailored lines of the jacket and a sort of billowy, but stiff hood would add some femininity to the piece. I'd also love to see how that would look down. Definitely something I want to add to my things to try list.
